John David DuPont passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on October 18, 2025 at the age of 78 years.
John lived a short time in Ontario before moving to Calgary in his early 20s, where he met his wife, Kim, and they were married on April 20th, 1974. They lived in Calgary, where John worked as a welder for 30 years.
John held many jobs in Calgary, ranging from complex maintenance to handyman work. In 2024, he and Kim moved to Delburne, Alberta, to be closer to their daughter.
John will be lovingly remembered by his spouse, Kim Dupont; daughter, Kimberly Suzanne Kenner; two grandchildren, Micheal and Andrew Dupont; and one great-granddaughter, Paisley Dupont. He is also survived by one brother; three sisters; grandparents, as well as numerous nieces; nephews; cousins and friends, including Lori, Louise, Dale, Shannon, Bobby Jo, Donna, Monty, Wendy, Bruce, and Cindy. He was predeceased by his brother Ron, sister Ruth, and parents Alice and George.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Kneehill Valley Community Centre, 26478 Twp Rd 350, Wimborne AB on November 8, 2025, at 1:00 pm.
