With our deepest sadness we announce the passing of Joan after a short but valiant battle with cancer. She fought until the end.

She is survived by her husband and soul-mate of 55 years, Wayne Gent as well as her two daughters Cindy Gent and Juanita Roos (Don Roos) and her grandchildren Jason Roos (Sarah Nelson) and Kelsey Roos (Ramon Miranda) and the two joys of her life, her two beautiful grandsons Luca and Oscar Roos-Miranda.

Joan was the best wife, mother, grandma and great-grandma we could have asked for and she will be forever in our hearts and thoughts.

Please join us for a celebration of her life and memorial at Eventide Funeral Home 4820 45 Street, Red Deer, AB Friday March 16, 2018 at 1:00p.m.

Burial will be at Glenwood Cemetery in Sherwood Park because of her passion for gardening.
