October 3, 1931 – January 19, 2023

In the early morning hours of January 19^th, 2023, the Lord called Jean Deleeuw home.  Jean was born near Zwolle, The Netherlands and in 1953 her entire immediate family emigrated to Canada.  Jean and her fiancé Albert, who was already in Canada, were married March 28^th, 1954. They would welcome four children – Janet, Kathy (Gerrit), Alice and Gerald (Liz). She babysat to help make ends meet, and later worked many years for the Ad-Visor. Jean loved being active and volunteering in her church, especially in the nursery and as part of the Banquet Committee. She also volunteered for many years at the BFM Thrift Store. She was predeceased by Albert in 2014, as well as her parents, three sisters and a brother, two sisters in law and two brothers in law. Left to mourn are her children, grandchildren, Theresa (Justin) Ng, Heather and Amanda and great grandchildren, Daniel, James and Michaela as well as her sisters Alice, Jenny, Ena (Barry), brothers Evert, John (Grace), and Jim, sister in law, Coby and brother in law Rick.

A service will be held at First Christian Reformed Church of Red Deer on January 27th, 2023 at 1:30 pm.
