Her family moved up to the Markerville area in the mid 1950’s, farming just east of Spruce View. Her memories of Spruce View School were always happy ones. Graduating from SVS in 1966, she was accepted to the University of Alberta’s Pharmacy Faculty. Graduating with a B.Sc. in Pharmacy in 1970; that was also the year she got married to Terry Long. Moving to Bentley, they had three children, Sarah, Rebecca and Cody. Janice enjoyed working in Pharmacy, as she was a people person, filling in quite a bit at Bentley IDA. After the Family moved to BC, she worked as a Pharmacist full-time. Janice was a much-loved Pharmacy Professional.
