Janet Tack
Posted Jan 9, 2018 | 6:15 PM
Janet was born to the late John and Isabelle Jaffary in Lacombe, Alberta, February 6, 1956. She took her early schooling in Lacombe and the graduated from S.A.I.T as a Health Record Technician in 1975. She then proceeded to work in various hospitals across Canada, seeing the country from coast to coast to coast
It was in Terrace Bay, Ontario, that she met the love of her life, Tom Tack, and spent the next 25 years following his career as Chief of Police. They retired back to Lacombe in 2006.
Janet loved music, fur coats and travel. She will be remembered for her organizational skills, her finesse with a bridge hand and her ability to use a crochet hook.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 37 years, Tom; her brother Dougall (Val) Jaffary, of Lacombe; her sister, Elizabeth (Wade) Roberts, of Whitehorse, Yukon; five nieces and two nephews; as well as many “shirt tail” relatives and friends from across Canada and around the world.
A private graveside memorial will be held at a later date. If desired, donations may be made to the local SPCA as Janet was a farmer’s daughter at heart.
