Hugh Seymour Archbold passed away on August 27, 2022, at the age of 63 after a harrowing battle with complications due to Kidney Failure.  Hugh was born to Shirley McLeod and Jeffery Archbold in Duncan BC on January 6, 1959, moving to Victoria BC at an early age and then Calgary AB as a young adult. After settling in Calgary where he met his wife Inez, the 2 moved through out Alberta to pursue their passion for Drag Racing.

Hugh is survived by his Wife Inez, Mother Shirley, Brother Godfrey, Stepson and Daughter-In-Law Steve and Consuelo, and Grandchildren Mason and Jorja.

Hugh was an active member in the drag racing community throughout Alberta. His love of drag racing was second only to his love and compassion for his wife.  Hugh and his car “Loose Screws” will be remembered for many years to come across the racing circuit, as will his joyous laughter and kind, empathetic nature.  While one never ever wants to say goodbye, we all want to say “Rest Easy Papa Hugh”.
