It is with great sadness we announce that Helen Nancy Basaraba, 78, passed away December 4, 2022 at the Michener Extended Care facility in Red Deer, AB.

Helen was born July 11, 1944 in Montreal, Quebec.  She moved with her parents Isabel and William Collicutt, along with her younger siblings, to Rocky Mountain House, AB as a teenager.

Helen married and had 3 children and 7 grandchildren.

Helen had many challenges in her life that she endured with strength and courage.

She was a dedicated mother and she welcomed many extra children in and out of her home.  Helen was a wonderful cook and took enjoyment in feeding and sharing her talent with everyone.  She was recognized as the Queen of cabbage rolls.

Her quick wit and humour kept you sharp and always resulted in laughter.

Helen will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her children Steven, wife Rhonda,  Kevin, Leslie and her grandchildren Merissa, Kelsey, Ashley, Krystal, Tyler, Tierra and Tyson.
