Heather Gayle Christenson (Caldwell)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Heather Gayle Christenson of Red Deer, at the Red Deer Hospice on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at the age of 52 years. Heather was born and raised in Altario, Alberta. She attended Post-Secondary Schools in Camrose, Stettler and Red Deer. Heather met Jeff while attending school in Camrose. They were married and lived in Edmonton, Athabasca, and Brisbane, Australia, before settling in Red Deer. Heather trained as an Interior Designer, and was also very creative in jewelry making, and mosaics. She loved selling her Chai Tea and honey at markets, and to local businesses in Alberta alongside her dear friend, Jodi. Heather will be deeply missed by loving husband, Jeff Christenson of Red Deer; daughters, Amy (Locke) Richards of Red Deer, and Becky (Dale) Moostoos of Edmonton; and grandson, Oliver. Heather will also be remembered by her mother, Melba Caldwell of Sundre; her brother, Cory (Renate) Caldwell of Sundre; and sisters, Shelley (Stew) Erickson of Sundre, and Janette (Jeff) Adamyk of Fort Saskatchewan. Heather was predeceased by her father, Ken Caldwell and a brother, Dean Caldwell. A Celebration of Heather’s Life will be held at Sunnybrook United Church, 12 Stanton Street, Red Deer, Alberta, on Friday, August 25, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations in Heather’s honor may be made directly to The Red Deer Hospice at www.reddeerhospice.com.
