Gerald “Jerry” Paul Arthur Coules of Red Deer, Alberta, passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on April 5, 2026, at the age of 58 years.
Jerry was born on September 26, 1967, in Red Deer, Alberta, where he was raised and spent much of his life. It was there that he met the love of his life, Teresa Marie (McNally) Coules. Together, they built a life grounded in love, hard work, and family, eventually settling in Stettler, Alberta, where they raised their two daughters, Robyn and Alisha.
He spent his working years as a dedicated pipefitter and contract operator, known for his strong work ethic and reliability. A man of faith, Jerry was affiliated with Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and enjoyed spending his free time fishing, camping, working in the yard, and woodworking. He was always happiest when keeping busy and being surrounded by nature.
Jerry will be remembered for his generosity and selflessness. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to others, yet rarely accepted help for himself. His quiet strength, kindness, and unwavering support for those around him will be deeply missed.
He is lovingly remembered by his spouse, Teresa Marie (McNally) Coules; his daughters, Robyn Kathleen (Coules) Mulligan (Jessie Mulligan) and Alisha Marie Coules (Bernardo Aldowrth Moller); and his cherished grandchildren Jackson and Mia Mulligan. He is also survived by his half-brother, John Coules (Noree), along with his aunt, Marie Hoerle, and his uncle, Don Hoerle (Esther).
Jerry was predeceased by his parents, John James Coules and Elvera Mae (Hoerle) Coules; his half-sister, Dee-Anna Coules Cartier; his grandparents, Art and Agnes Hoerle; and his uncle, Glenn Hoerle. Jerry will be lovingly remembered by his extended family and many friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Pioneer Lodge, 4324 – 46 A Ave., Red Deer AB on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, as a drop-in from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
