Gerald Ernest Enns was predeceased by this Mother and Father Susan and Gerhard Enns. His brother Walter Enns (Pauline Clark) and sister Lorna Enns and her children Randy Harper and Tiffany.
He left behind his two sisters Marianne Grier (Marvin Wilkinson) and Laura (Eric) wife Ruth of 44years, and daughter Sabrina Enns (and Jesse) and her children Mason & Katlynn McLaughlin. His son Jerry Jr. (wife Courtney) plus his children Keagen, Dayton and McKenna Enns.
Gerald was born August 6th, 1950 to a Millar family in Toronto. Was adopted at 7 years of age by Susan and Gerhard Enns. He lived with the parents and grandparents on a grain farm near Newton Siding, Manitoba. The family stayed on the farm till his father passed away when he reached the age of 12 years. Still had very fond memories of that time in his life. The family then moved to Arnaud, Manitoba to be closer to his Mom’s family. Gerald was a hard worker and was often asked to babysit, mow lawns, and clean church. In his teen years the grain farmers needed a driver and his experience living on the farm came in handy. This he enjoyed very much and often talked about owning his own land to give this a shot.
As life turns out he decided to go for his Private Pilot License and often invited family to jump in for a ride. The hours it took for a commercial pilot’s license was cut short by having a family. The freedom he felt and dreamed of in the wind was portrayed in his life through flying and biking. Spent a lifetime with his wife traveling on a bike and exploring God’s world. His love of biking is now a legacy he has shown to his children and grandchildren.
While working on his Commercial pilot hours he was working on his Power Engineering tickets. Worked at Continental Can plus Stony Mountain in Winnipeg before moving to Minnedosa Manitoba. Here the children were conceived, all because two people fell in love. Spent 5 years working at Mohawk Oil Company and happened to be on shift when they made 100% alcohol. Then spent 30 years of his life at Hylife Foods in Neepawa, Mb. as a Power Engineer. He had an important role as an Engineer and took this very seriously. Decided to retire at the age of 68 and join his children and grandchildren in Alberta. He fought with health problems later on in life and kept God, his family and music by his side. Then his cancer started to spread and On September 19, 2022 he passed away at the Red Deer Hospital to be with the Lord with family close by his side. We will all miss you Jerry!
