May 31st, 1931 – July 29th, 2020
He grew up on the family farm in McKay AB and had very fond memories of life on the farm and an innate love of animals, especially dogs. As a young man Jud joined the Royal Canadian Air force in 1951 and was stationed at the staff college in Toronto where he met the love of his life, his wife of 67 years, Rita. He went on to serve 20 years in the RCAF UNTIL 1971. He retired in Red Deer with his family, where he worked as a body man at Superior. Jud loved boating and camping and was a member of the Good Sam’s for many years, where he and Rita motor homed in “Whinny” all over Alberta and BC. Jud always had a furry companion at his side, his love of dogs endured and there were many special dogs in his life. He was a great story teller and his sense of humour was infectious.
He leaves to celebrate his life, Rita his loving wife, his four daughters Colleen, Kate, Laurie and Valerie, and his beloved pup Sparkie.
He was blessed with nine grandchildren, Jennifer, Christie, Jaime, Jason, Michelle, Amie, Scott, Ryan and Devon. Nineteen great grandchildren, Brandon, Alyssa, Christian, Nathan, Emma, Nick, Ashtyn, Mackenzie, Blake, Noah, Izabella, Rhyse, Bohdan, Kierin, Emersyn, Victoria, Parker, Annabella and Brooks, and one great great granddaughter Brynlie. His family was his joy and comfort.
No service will be held at this time.
