Gary Edward Belt

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Edward Belt on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at the Red Deer Regional Hospital, at the age of 68 years.

Gary will be lovingly remembered by his sisters; Maureen Belt (Dennis Dupuis), Yvonne Abu-Ulba (Omar) and Denyse Hazlett (Dave), his nephews Nabil Abu-Ulba (Jenn), their sons Thane and Arlen, Adrian Abu-Ulba (Robyn Broad), his niece Leslie Allen, her sons Addison and Reed and Leslie’s father David Allen.

Gary was predeceased by his parents Ed and Alma Belt, and his younger brother Murray in 1976.

Gary had a special love of books and was a lifelong reader. His favorite subjects were philosophy, psychology, world politics and history. He also loved music, watching soccer and the Blue Jays. In his later years he joined an art class and tried his hand at painting.

Special thanks to the doctors and nurses of the ICU in the Red Deer Hospital. Thank you to the care staff at Villa Marie for the last few years of friendship and care.

A private family service has taken place.
