Frieda Marie Bragg (Ahrens) of Red Deer, passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Hospice on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at the age of 86 years, after a lengthy battle with cancer, her lap dog Sissy by her side. Frieda was born in March of 1932 in Red Deer, Alberta. Frieda is survived by her son David Lawrence (Karen); grandchildren Ryan Lawrence (Jackie), Carla Lawrence, Beth Graham, Shane Uhl, Devon Uhl and her great grandchildren Jake, Robin, Logan, and Kayson; stepchildren Wanda Beck (Arlo), Bill Bragg (Maureen), five step grandchildren, seven step great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors. Frieda was predeceased by her mother, father, three younger siblings (Lou Ahrens, Irma Lawrence, Alf Ahrens); daughter Marie Dickinson; husband Norris Bragg and step grandson Teagan Uhl. A celebration of Frieda’s life will be held at the Red Deer Legion, 2810 – Bremner Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta, on Friday, April 13, at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Red Deer Hospice Society, 99 – Arnot Avenue, Red Deer, AB T4R 3S6, or to STARS Air Ambulance, Box 570, 1441 – Aviation Park NE, Calgary, AB T2E 8M7.
