Frederick Bolze

Fred passed away peacefully at the Rosefield Centre in Innisfail, AB on his 89th birthday. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Margaret; his two sisters-in-law, Charlotte and Evelyn Bolze; his nieces, nephews and extended family. He was predeceased by his parents, Charlie and Hedwig Bolze as well as his two brothers, Herman and Ralph.
Fred was born in the Valley Centre district east of Red Deer, the eldest of three brothers. He attended school at Valley Centre but began working full-time on the family farm at an early age. He chose carpentry for his life-long career, retiring in the late 1990’s. Strong, observant and industrious, Fred constructed his own home in Springvale Heights, where he resided with Margaret until earlier this year. He loved gardening, often sharing the produce with his neighbours and helping them with projects. A kind, good-natured, neighbourly man, Fred liked being down-to-earth. His other interests included camping, curling, hockey, travelling, fishing, cars and cattle.
Fred’s memorial service will be held at St. Leonard’s-on-the-Hill, 4241-44 St, Red Deer AB on December 14, 2016 at TBA with Pastor Gary Sinclair officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Rosefield Centre, 5023-42 St, Innisfail AB T4G 1A9 would be welcomed.
