Freda Mary Hendrickson

Freda Mary Hendrickson of Red Deer AB passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on December 1, 2023 at the age of 101 years.
Freda and her identical twin, Sadie, were born March 29, 1922 to Frederick and Bertha Sutton at Hughenden, AB. Freda married George Raymond Motley and had two sons, George and Bill. She lost her husband, George, in 1950. As a young widow and single mom, Freda did various jobs in the Rimbey area, where she was also housekeeper for Ernie Davis and his two sons. Freda moved to Red Deer in 1966 when she married Clarence McInenly. She worked at Michener Centre until her retirement at age 73.
Freda will be lovingly remembered by her family. Predeceased by her son George, her parents, husbands, and siblings, she is survived by her son Bill (Wendy) Motley, daughter-in-law Linda Motley, 5 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 16 great great grandchildren as well as a very special niece, Jean Bernes and her family.
Thankyou to the staff of Extendicare Unit 3600 and the palliative care nurses and doctors of Unit 32, RDRHC for their excellent, loving care of Freda.
A private family burial will be held at the Hoadley Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to Michener Extendicare or Unit 32 at Red Deer Regional Hospital.
