In Loving Memory of Francine Jeaurond
December 20, 1959 – October 19, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Francine Jeaurond, who peacefully left us on October 19, 2025, at the Lacombe Hospital. Francine was born on a Sunday, December 20, 1959, and throughout her life, she brought warmth, laughter, and love to everyone around her.

Francine was predeceased by her loving mother, Pauline. She will be deeply missed by her devoted common-law husband of 30 years, Warren Backes; her beloved son Giovanni; and her two precious grandchildren, Aria and Adam, whom she adored beyond words. Francine also leaves behind her nephew Nathaniel; her siblings Gilles and Gisèle (Gerald); and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends across Montreal and Alberta.

Born and raised in Montreal, Francine became a proud and loving mother to her son Giovanni before moving to Alberta in the early 1990s. In 1995, she and Warren began their life together, building a home filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. Though Alberta became her home, Francine’s heart was always tied to Montreal, and she made her way back as often as possible to visit her grandchildren, family, and lifelong friends.

Francine had a special gift for bringing people together. She was an amazing cook who loved hosting family meals, and she found great joy in tending to the family’s yard—creating a welcoming space where so many happy moments were shared. Her kindness, sense of humor, and generous spirit touched all who knew her.

Francine’s presence will be missed deeply, but her love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
