Evelyn Elizabeth Cressey
June 9th, 1933 – July 24th, 2024
With deepest sorrow we announce the passing of Evelyn Elizabeth Cressey of Red Deer County on July 24th, 2024 at the age of 91 years.
Evelyn was born at the Red Deer Hospital, the eldest child of Lachlan and Dorothy Bickley. Evelyn was raised in the Ridgewood District west of Red Deer. She was lifelong friends and a schoolmate of her loving husband, Stanley. Stan and Evelyn married in 1955. They began farming and started raising their family. She took great pleasure in having her family live nearby. Evelyn will be missed by her sister Jean Follis.
Evelyn will be lovingly remembered by her husband Stan of 69 years, her 6 children and their families. Logan; Bruce (1964-1983); Donna (Blayne) Richardson, Cameron, Tanner (Brooklyn) Brydenn Kasen, Caitlyn, Chelsey, Brenda (Kevin) Soley, Brittany (Jordan) Ramstead, Hudson, Rowen, Jessica (Brody) Schultz, Bria, Lilah, Grayson, Brooklyn, (Dylan) Thudium, Leo, Jayce Soley.
Evelyn was predeceased by her father, Lachlan Bickley, mother, Dorothy Bickley, brother, Robert Bickley, son Bruce Cressey, grandson, Nicholas Cressey, nephew, Warren Follis.
A Celebration of Evelyn’s life will be held at the Memorial Presbyterian Church, Sylvan Lake, Alberta on Monday, August 12th, 2024 at 2:00 pm with a luncheon to follow in the church fellowship hall. A private graveside service will be held prior to the celebration.
As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
