Eva Josephine Sandberg passed away at Michener Extendicare in Red Deer, Alberta on October 15th, 2023 at the age of 93.

She is lovingly remembered by her sister Ann, son Laurie, daughter in law Donna, granddaughter Leanne Eade (partner Joe Aubin), daughter Christy (Nathan) Trescher, great grandchildren Jon and Tyler Trescher, Ella, Hazel and Oliver Eade as well as many nieces, nephews and their families.

Jo loved her Saskatchewan Roughriders, her knitting and spending time with friends and family. As most of her life was in Saskatoon the St. Stephen’s Parish family was very dear to her and she followed the services on line as long as she was able. She loved to travel and visited all the Canadian provinces as well as Mexico, USA, Britain, Greece, Turkey, Hawaii, Australia and New Zealand.

Jo was an LPN and was a Caregiver for three decades. She moved to Red Deer in 2021 to be closer to family and resided at Revera Retirement Home where she made many friends and enjoyed all of the activities.

We would like to thank all the Caregivers at Revera Inglewood, Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre and Michener Extendicare, who helped Jo through her trying times.

Eva (JO) was predeceased by her parents, son Leslie, two brothers Edward and Terry, three sisters Edna, Ruth and Joyce.

A Memorial Service will be held at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church October 24,2023 at 1:30 pm.
