Etta Florence Barth
Sadly, we announce the passing of Etta Barth of Red Deer, Alberta.
Etta was born in Wilkie, Sask. to John (Jack) and Henrietta (nee Steel) McKenna. She lived on a farm near Cloan and then later, after the passing of her father in 1947, moved to Cloan. She later studied to be a nurse’s aid which became useful after she had married Thomas (Tom) Barth and together had 6 sons: Robert, Richard, Gordon, Glenn, Ronald and John. After Tom had retired from the Pool, Tom, Etta and family moved to North Battleford. Etta began working as a nurse’s aid for the Battlefords Union Hospital. After Etta retired, they moved to Saskatoon and then to Victoria to enjoy the milder winters. Tom passed away in 2003. In 2016, Etta moved to Red Deer to be closer to family. She loved her family and had a great sense of humour.
Etta will be continued to be loved and cherished by sister Margaret Cook, brother William (Mary), sons Robert (Beverly), Richard (Gwendolyn), Gordon (Carol), Glenn, Ronald (Virginia), and John (Crystal), grand children Jennifer (Franklin), Carla (Gordon), Thomas (Heather), David (Jasmine), Sara (Emily), Kennedy, Kaleigh and great grand children Kinsley, Grayson, Lincoln, Viktor and Boone as well as many nieces and nephews and friends.
