Enida Bernice Stewart

Enida Bernice Stewart of Penhold, Alberta passed away June 16, 2021 at the age of 85 years.
Enida was born in Cluny, Alberta in 1936. She was raised on the family farm in Cluny, where she developed the traits of determination and confidence that would serve her well throughout her life.
Enida believed in giving back to her community. She was a member of many volunteer groups, such as the Icelandic Society, Spruceview Seniors Centre, Penhold Seniors Centre, and Hola. In her spare time, she enjoyed coffee and cards with friends.
Enida leaves to mourn her loving companion Basil Dalton, who was by her side when she passed away; children George (Lynn) Stewart, Jean (Dennis) Kile, Rose (Jan) Koenraadt, and Donna (Keith) Vassberg; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her sister Adeline of Calgary; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her sister Mary.
A private family graveside service will be held. There are also plans for a memorial coffee gathering at the Penhold Seniors Drop-In Centre, with details to follow at a later date.
