Enid Joyce Binsted
July 21, 1935 – July 27, 2023
With great sadness we announce the passing of Enid Joyce Binsted. Enid was predeceased by her first husband Edward (Ted) Powell, second husband John W. Binsted and eldest son Keith. Survived by daughter Beverly, son Graham and grandsons Levon, Bradley and Jeffrey.
Enid was born in Liverpool and was very proud of her English heritage. She was part of a large family with 3 sisters and 1 brother. She was 4 years old upon the outbreak of WWII. Left England in 1956 three months after giving birth to her first child to reunite with her husband in Canada. With her 2nd husband she traveled and lived in the Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, southern Spain and numerous places in BC, Alberta and Ontario.
Enid started work as an assistant accountant with the Bank of Nova working her way up the ladder in both Ontario and Alberta eventually becoming a branch manager. Enid’s true passion in life was painting. She was a very talented portrait painter and had done numerous commissions. She also adored Yorkshire terriers and had several throughout her life.
A tremendous amount of gratitude to the doctors and LTC staff of Bethany Centre in Calgary and Rosefield Centre in Innisfail.
