McKINLAY Elizabeth “Betty”
March 13, 1933 – July 20th, 2018
Mrs. Betty McKinlay passed away Friday, July 20th, 2018, at the age of 85. Betty was born on March 13th, 1933 in Lawson, Sask.
Betty loved sports, especially baseball, curling and golf. She even got a hole in one! She also enjoyed playing cards and spending time with family and friends. Betty loved going to dances from a young age and this is where she eventually she met the love of her life, Frank.
Betty will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Patty McKinlay of Ponoka, and Wendy (Leroy) Bell of Red Deer; son David McKinlay of Red Deer; grandchildren Damon Bell of Red Deer and Sarah (Mike) Bell of Calgary, brother Angus (Lois) McCulloch of Vulcan, sister Lucille Barby of Calgary and sister in law Verna McCulloch of Taber. As well as many extended family members and good friends.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Frank McKinlay.
A Celebration of Betty’s Life will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapel, 4820- 45th Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Friday July 27th at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Betty’s honour may be made directly to the Lending Cupboard 7803-50th Ave Red Deer, AB T4P 1M8.
