Dylan Louis Jacob

Dylan Louis Jacob, of Red Deer, passed away suddenly at his home on May 17, 2018 at the age of 28 years. Dylan was born and raised in Red Deer. He attended school at Camille J. LeRouge and Notre Dame High School where he was a football all-star. In grade 10, Dylan entered the apprenticeship program and at the age of 19, became a fully certified welder. A year later he started his own mobile welding business. Dylan welded on many pipeline construction projects throughout Western Canada. He was proud to say he was a dual citizen of Canada and Australia. Dylan loved the outdoors and enjoyed skiing, snowmobiling and hockey. As a boy he cherished Labrador Retrievers as pets and companions. Dylan is survived by this father Rick Jacob (Lynley Cook); mother Deb (Lloyd) Neufeld; step-brothers Ross (Tiffany) Neufeld, Ryan (Dawn) Neufeld, step-sister Ellie Anderson (Tess), grandparents Lui and Maria Brion of South Australia and close friend Krystle Pelto. Taken too soon, Dylan will be remembered forever and deeply missed by his entire extended family and his many friends. Dylan was predeceased by his grandparents Len and Ella Jacob of Weyburn, SK. A Memorial Service to celebrate Dylan’s life will be held at Deer Park Alliance Church, 2960 – 39th St. Red Deer, AB on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to the Central Alberta Humane Society, 4505 – 77 St., Red Deer AB T4P 2J1.
