The family wishes to announce the passing of our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend at the age of 93 years. Dorothy was born in Viscount, Sask. After receiving her education she went on to become a nurse and went to Rosetown, Sask, for her first job as a new RN. There she met her loving husband and had her first three children. They moved over the years to Camrose, Grande Prairie and Edmonton and finally Red Deer where they lived until their passing. Mom was known as a gentle and kind nurse and after retirement volunteered tirelessly to help better the lives of others.
She is survived by her children…Vicki Rochat, Mary Lou Senio (Ray), Tom (Jan) and Kathryn (Randy), five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Les, her daughter Margie, sons-in-law Leon, and Jim, as well as her three siblings. At her request there will be no formal service. A private family memorial will be held in her honor.
We wish to thank the wonderful staff of Rosefield Care Centre in Innisfail for their kindness to our Mom for the past 4 years. She is now resting in peace with our Dad, but she couldn’t have been in any better place than Rosefield for her final home.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Rosefield Care Centre 5023-42 Street Innisfail, AB. T4G 1A9. Condolences can be sent to the family to www.parklandfuneralhome.com
