Donald James Longshore

Donald James Longshore was born in Stettler, Alberta on October 6, 1942 and passed on to his eternal home September 26, 2021, aged 78 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Helen Sommer-Longshore; his daughter Aleah (Chris); his chosen children Nate (Jamie) and Caryn (Dan); grandchildren Silas, Ellyanna, Blake, and Emily; siblings Wayne (Christine), Doreen (Stewart), Murray (Arlene) and David (Lynne); numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; and many, many friends. He was predeceased by his first wife Bertha (Friedli) and his parents “Sandy” and Elsie Longshore.
Due to current gathering restrictions, a private family funeral service will be held at CrossRoads Church in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada on Friday, October 1. A livestream will be publicly available at http://www.crossroadschurch.ca/livefunerals at 11:00 am or viewable in the CrossRoads Church online archives at a later date. Burial will take place at approximately 2:30pm at the Woodland Cemetery in Botha. All are welcome at the cemetery for a brief graveside service.
