Donald George Glover

Donald George Glover of Red Deer County passed away peacefully at the family farm on July 22, 2021 at the age of 84 years. Don was born on the family farm to parents George and Dorothy on June 11, 1937. He was raised on the farm in Hillsdown and attended the Hillsdown school. Don drove gravel truck from 1956 until 1964, then he and Shirley moved back to the farm. Don is lovingly remembered by sons Darcy (Amanda), Brian (Cyndy), Rob (Wendy); son-in-law Duane Clarke; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren as well as numerous extended family members and friends. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 59 years, Shirley; sister Nora; daughter Lori Clarke and grandson Nolan. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Valley Centre Community Centre on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Don’s memory may be directed to the Red Deer Hospice Society, 99 – Arnot Ave., Red Deer AB T4R 3S6.
