McLellan, Donald ‘Buff’ Cameron

1951-2023

 

With sadness we announce that Buff (Donald) Cameron McLellan passed away peacefully on May 23, 2023 at the Rocky Mountain House Care Center at the age of 72. Buff was born in the Red Deer Hospital on February 3, 1951, to Betty and Tom McLellan. He was the youngest of three siblings. He was raised on his parents’ homestead where he was currently living until his passing. Buff went on to live a full life which was full of adventures from rodeo, horseback riding, hockey, baseball, curling, golfing, hunting, and riding his motorbike. Buff had many friends as he was a social bug and loved to tell stories.

Buff will be forever remembered by his loving wife Gaetane; daughter Nikki (Jeff) Gosselin, her daughters Reanna and Madison; son Brad (Janett), his daughter Baily and son Cameron; sister Shirley (Larry), her 3 daughters: Stephanie (Heather), Lori, her son Calob, and daughter Bree, and Kim (Matt); and a brother Ernie (Diane). Buff was predeceased by his parents Betty and Tom.

There will be a celebration of Buff’s Life on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at the farm from 1- 3 PM. This will be a casual event and a time to reflect on Buff’s life with friends and family. So come anytime between 1-3 PM to pay your respects and share a fond memory.

If desired memorial donations in Buff’s name my be made to the “Ride for Dad” foundation, www.RideForDad.ca, which Buff was a proud member. Buff’s handle name is Don aka “Buff” McLellan.
