Dirk Jan Kraan (Dick)
Jan 20, 1940 – Feb 20, 2025

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Dick KRAAN.

He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Cynthia Layne, his partner of 12 years Marilyn Zinken, her 3 children & 2 grandchildren & other family members in Canada & Netherlands. Dick will be greatly missed by all of his friends!

Dick was predeceased by his wife Treava Jeanette-Rose Schimke, a brother and sister in Ontario and other family members in Holland.

After immigrating to Canada, Dick made Red Deer his home. He was well known in the community, being the owner/operator of D & R Welding Ltd.

Dick will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered.

 

Dick’s Celebration of Life will be held March 3 at 1 PM at Eventide Funeral Home 4820-45 St Red Deer. Reception to follow.
