February 15, 1942 – June 25, 2020

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Denis Wayne Magill on Thursday June 25, 2020 at the age of 78. Denis was born in Saskatoon Saskatchewan, He married the love of his life, Ann Magill (Schwarz) on February 17, 1962. Following their marriage, they moved to Red Deer, AB in 1968.

Denis took pride in his 61 years working in the livestock industry. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, camping, watching football, going to Rebels games and he always seemed to have some project on the go.

Denis was a genuine people person as he cultivated many special relationships with everyone he met and always had a story to tell. Denis was devoted to his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Denis leaves to mourn his loving wife of 58 years, Ann, and his children; Linda, Lisa (George) and Darrin (Tammy); as well as his grandchildren Tyler (Ashley), Nicholas, Brennan (Brenna) and Brandon. Three great grandchildren Shayna, Tyson and Malcolm. His twin sister Donna (David); brother Ralph (Margaret); nieces and nephews, Sandra (Chris), Peter (Kelly), Colleen, Charles, Leonard (Tracy), Elizabeth (Mike); as well as numerous great nieces, nephews and many friends.

Denis is predeceased by his parents Alexander and Mabel Magill.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private funeral and burial will take place at the Crossroads Church and Alto Reste Cemetery in Red Deer, AB, on Tuesday July 7, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. Those wishing to view the service can do so on the Crossroads Church website.
