Debra Lynn Kwiatkowski
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Debra Lynn Kwiatkowski. Born on December 31st, 1955 in Regina SK she peacefully left this world on March 18th, 2026, at the Red Deer Hospice. Debra’s journey was marked by a spirit of kindness, resilience, and love that touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Debra was predeceased by her beloved sister, Brenda McIsaac, who was not only a sibling but also a cherished friend and confidant. The bond they shared was one that will forever remain in the hearts of their loved ones. Debra’s legacy is carried on by her devoted husband, Barry, along with her children, son Stephan Clark and daughter Shannan Clark. She was a proud grandmother to Thomas and Jayden Clark, whose lives were brightened by her unwavering love and support.
Raised by her mother Carolyn McIsaac, Debra was surrounded by familial love throughout her life. She is remembered fondly by her brothers, Robert (Bob) and Brent McIsaac, and her step-sister Jacquie Troughton. The family extends their heartfelt love to her nieces, nephews, and a host of friends, all of whom will miss her dearly.
Debra dedicated herself to her career as the Shipping/Receiving Manager at Spartek Systems in Sylvan Lake, Alberta. Her passion for her work was apparent, and she was respected by her colleagues for her professionalism and warm personality. Although she retired early in 2017 due to her cancer diagnosis, her work ethic and dedication remain an inspiring example for her peers. After she retired she turned to her hobby of crocheting. She loved to crochet and she loved teaching the art to her friend and neighbour, Joelle Lefebvre, her favourite student
Outside of work, Debra had a zest for life that was truly infectious. She adored camping trips in British Columbia, where she found solace in nature and the great outdoors. Yet, it was her vacation in Maui that brought her immense joy, creating lasting memories with her husband. These moments were more than just vacations; they were experiences that enriched her soul and connected her with her loved ones.
In honouring Debra’s memory, a memorial service will be arranged for close family and friends at a later date in Esquimalt, BC. This meaningful gathering will take place where her ashes will be spread over the ocean at Saxe Point, a location that holds sentimental value, as it also represents the final resting place of her sister Brenda. This act symbolizes their undying bond and the love they shared in life.
The family expresses sincere gratitude to the compassionate staff at the Red Deer Hospice, whose care and support over Debra’s last three and a half months made a profound difference. Their dedication not only provided comfort to Debra but also to her family during a challenging time.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial donations be made to the Red Deer Hospice Society, the Canadian Cancer Society, or any charity of one’s choice. Each contribution will honour Debra’s spirit and continue her legacy of caring for others.
Debra Lynn Kwiatkowski’s memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who loved her. Her light will continue to shine through the cherished moments and memories she has left behind.
