On March 3, 2022, Dave (Ed) passed away in his home at Bethany Collegeside in Red Deer at the age of 82. He was born on June 29 (27), 1939 in Waldheim, Saskatchewan. He was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Nellie Rinas; grandson Jesse; and brother Rick. Dave will be lovingly remembered by his children Heather (Winston), Edward (Nancy), Sherri, and Shauna and their wife Ruth; his grandchildren Sarah Jane (Nathaniel), Iain (Ashley), Bethany, Hannah, Nicole (Andrew), and Katrina; great grandchildren Zoe, Maddox, Eliza and Kinsley; siblings Della, Theresa (Gary), Darlene (Clarence), (Debra), Ron (Bernice), and Lorena; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Dave had many careers including heavy-duty mechanic for the pipelines, inventor, car salesman, and livestock farmer. He loved hunting, fishing, and camping. In his later years, he was a prolific fine art painter of natural scenery, animals, and lighthouses.

A memorial service will be held live on Zoom for invited family and friends on April 2, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. and there will be a Facebook memorial page to post and view favorite memories.
