David Charles Sakofsky
Birth: March 3, 1960
Passing: August 24, 2019
Age: 59
On August 24, 2019, David Sakofsky, loving brother, uncle and friend passed away at age 59. Dave had two sisters Elizabeth Gerrard, Margaret Moffat and a younger brother Robert Sakofsky and his mother and father Ruth and Charles Sakofsky. David had lots of nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly and most recently, his great nieces and nephews were his newest enjoyment.
Dave was an individual that always made you feel like you were the most special person in his world. The man was kind, courageous and overall an impeccable human being who will be extremely missed as he was so loved by so many people.
He had an abundance of interests and hobbies that he was always so thrilled to share with anyone who was around to visit. He was an avid collector of pins, hats, coasters and anything he could get his hands on. David had a goal of filling up every inch of a coat with pins from all over the world.
David would always talk about his most treasured memories being fishing with his brother Robert and all of his nephews. Growing up he and his family would spend an abundance of their time soaking up the sun at their cottage in Sylvan Lake. David also had a passion for Scotland. When he traveled there he loved looking at all the castles, abbeys and looking at all the history, it had to offer. Dave loved to play anyone willing to lose a game of crib and always had a running tally of how many you lost and he won.
Memorial donations can be made to The Ruth Sakofsky Memorial Scholarship. (Lindsey Thurber High School)
