Dave McDowell

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dave McDowell on November 3, 2024.  Dave was born on November 12, 1933, in Mirror Landing, AB, but has resided most of his life in Red Deer.

Dave will be lovingly remembered by his wife Sophie, his daughter Deanna (Tim) and son Doug as well as his stepchildren Donald (Lynda) and Penny (Cameron).  He will be sadly missed by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren for whom he always had a word of encouragement

After retirement, Dave enjoyed his life to the fullest undertaking his favourite actives.  He was an avid fisherman and a die-hard Oilers fan.  He loved travelling with his wife but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

There will be a Celebration of Life on November 15, 2024, at 11:00 am at Red Deer Funeral Home & Celebration Centre.  A Casting Ceremony for immediate family will be held at a later date.
