Darryl Brent Lee “Toad”, born July 1st, 1961 of Blackfalds, AB, passed away with his family and friends by his side on May 22^nd, 2026 at the age of 64.

Darryl is survived by his two children Tanya Lee of Innisfail, AB, and Austin Lee (Jayde); grandchildren Zayden and Lainey of Cranbrook, BC; mother Cleo Ross; sister Brenda Hoppins (John); nephew Garret (Alysha); nieces Rachael (Reagan) and Jessica (Riley); great nieces and nephews; Aunts Donna Bennett and Annette Smith; as well as by many cousins that he loved deeply.  Darryl also leaves behind his truly loyal friends Kelly McInnis and Rob and Cindy Briggs, whom he also viewed as his family.

Darryl is predeceased by his father Walter Lee and step father Jim Ross; brother Larry Lee; uncles Robert Smith and Bill Bennett; and by his aunts and uncles Gary and Kristine Smith and Ron and Ruth Smith.

Needless to say, he will not be short of good company on the other side of this world.

As per Darryl’s wishes, there will not be a funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, Darryl’s family asks instead that donations be made to the Red Deer Hospice Society, who provided excellent care, comfort and compassion to Darryl in his final days.

Darryl’s family and friends would also like to extend their sincere gratitude to the care he received by the staff of Unit 32 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital.
