Corrina "Cory" Sankovic

June 24, 1965 – May 9, 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Corrina (Cory) Sankovic at the age of 57 after a short and courageous battle with cancer while surrounded by her favorite men.

Cory was born in Edmonton, AB on June 24, 1965. She will be dearly missed by her husband of 34 years, Anthony (Tony), sons; Curtis (Katie) and Tayler (Megan), grandkids; Haisley, Beck & Abel, father; Jim, sisters; Ronda (Greg), Lana and Debbie (Don), brothers; Mike (Diane) and Darren (Patricia) and many nieces, nephews and numerous family & friends. She will remain in our hearts forever.  Cory was predeceased by her mother, Joan Hollman and her partner in crime, Hugo, Tony’s & her dog of many years.

Cory and Tony were married December 3rd, 1988 in Fort St. John, BC. After moving around Alberta with Tony’s career with Save On Foods they settled in Red Deer in 1999 and shortly thereafter starting their career with Remax. Cory has always been very proud of her sons’ and was their biggest encouragement in life which trickled to her daughters-in-law and down to her grandkids. We all felt her love the instant we met her & it continues to this day.

Her health and fitness journey was something she took a lot of pride in and it showed. Cory was a participant of a group called Healthy Role Models where she met many friends and celebrated many physical & emotional accomplishments. She was often found either in her workout room or in the kitchen doing food prep continuously on the move. Cory had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, camping and golfing, one of her favorite spots being Fernie, BC.

A celebration of Cory’s life will be held at Eventide Funeral Home on May 20th, 2023 @ 11:11am and will be streamed via Zoom https://us06web.zoom.us/j/87937951338.
