Clarence Joseph Bur (November 7, 1950 – June 12, 2021)
It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the sudden passing of Clarence Bur. Born in Kindersley, Saskatchewan, Clarence made his home in Slave Lake for 52 years.
He is survived by his daughters, Cheryl (Tom) and Amanda (Wayne); grandsons Preston and Gavin; brother Carl (Cathy); sisters Yvonne and Joyce (Vladimir); girlfriend Carol; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Gladys; parents George and Ola; and sisters Donna and Ethel.
Clarence was an avid camper, enjoyed hunting and fishing, liked to play cards and cribbage, and loved to travel and spend time with family. He could talk to anyone for hours and most days could be found having coffee with friends or tinkering around the house and yard on a project. He knew a lot about a lot and was always willing to share his knowledge, experience, and time with others. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Due to Covid restrictions, a private funeral service will be held at 11AM on June 24, 2021 at St. Peter Celestin Catholic Church with interment to follow at the Slave Lake Cemetery immediately afterwards.
Livestreaming of the funeral service will be available on Amanda Dastou’s Facebook profile page and the virtual guestbook will be available on Clarence’s obituary page at https://www.arbormemorial.ca/en/eventide
