It is with deep sorrow that we announce the life journey of Cindy Jean Kotowsky – Potter aged 60, was completed at the Red Deer Hospice on Wednesday June 12, 2024.
Cindy was predeceased by her precious son Jessie, her parents Della and Fred Kotowsky, and her brother Delmer Kotowsky. She is survived by her loving daughters Melissa and Shainna (Adam Birch), along with her adoring grand children Gage, Gavin, Jasmine, Raychel, and Sawyer. Cindy is also survived by siblings Debbie (Pat Ranahan), Brenda (Guy St Martin), Gaylene (Mark Morancy), as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
Cindy was born October 9, 1963, in Swan River Manitoba. In 1973 her family moved to Kitwanga B.C. Cindy continued her education in Hazelton B.C. In 1982, she moved to Red Deer AB. In 2013, Cindy moved one more time to Sylvan Lake AB. For the past 22 years Cindy was employed at Clean Harbors.
Cindy loved to be surrounded with her family. She organized many sleep overs, road trips, meals, and other gatherings and fun was always had by everyone.
One of Cindy’s greatest attributes was the ability to love unconditionally. Her warm smile and contagious laugh made everyone she met feel like her best friend. Her friend circle was enormous. She loved them all deeply and they loved her back. Cindy had a quick wit and sense of humor that was matched by none. She cheered up every room she entered and was the life of the party. Cindy loved to pick up friends and family and head over to Petro Beach to watch the sun setting while engaging in conversation and listening to classic rock music. She will be lovingly missed by all who knew her.
Our family would like to extend our sincere thanks and gratitude to the Red Deer Hospice Society for the warmth and care you gave Cindy. You made her last days much brighter and comfortable up until her passing. For that we are very grateful and appreciative.
Cindy’s Celebration of Life will take place at the Freemason Hall, 4811 52 Street, Red Deer Alberta on June 29, 2024, at 2 pm.
“Let us not look for you only in memory, where we would grow lonely with out you. You would want us to find you in the presence, beside us when beauty brightens, when kindness glows, and when music echoes eternal tones.”
John Donahue
