Charles Alvin Sherman

Charles Alvin Sherman passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on September 23, 2025, at the age of 76 years. Charles was born in Brooks, Alberta and spent his childhood on the farm at Duchess, Alberta. He purchased a farm in Spirit River Alberta in 1979. His home became the local coffee house where his friends gathered daily. Charles worked with Peter Rawylick Trucking and later, owned and operated a successful company, Canadian Oil Recycle Corporation.
Charles married Ellen Lungle (Hoover) in 2005. They moved to Penhold, Alberta in 2017 when Charles retired & they were able to share many cherished memories together before her passing in 2018. He later moved to Red Deer County in 2022 with his grandchild and great-grandchildren, where he embraced and enjoyed the beautiful chaos of family life. Charles is survived by his sisters Beverley Seitz, Eileen Reid, Cheryl Nelson; brothers Howard Sherman and Darcy Sherman; stepchildren Tina and Jason Lungle, six grand children and two great grand children as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
May his kind heart and warm smile be remembered forever; Charles will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
The family celebration of Charles’ life will be held on October 8th, 2025 at 1:00 pm at the Pioneer Lodge, 4324 – 46 A Ave. Red Deer, Alberta.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations can be made to the Parkinsons Association.
