It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Cecile Small, who passed away peacefully in Red Deer on August 19, 2026, at the age of 81.

Cecile is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Robert Darel Small; her daughters, Suzanne Hargreaves, Jenine Armstrong (Dave), and Christine Niemi (Sean); and her cherished grandchildren, Lauren and Sarah Hargreaves, Kaylan and Declan Armstrong, and Siena Niemi. She is also survived by her sister, Leona, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Cecile was predeceased by her beloved son, James Allen Small; her son-in-law, Kerry Hargreaves; and her siblings Roger, Leonard, Denis, and Lillian.

Cecile will be remembered for her love of family, her strong will, quiet perseverance, and the compassion she showed to others. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
