Cardon, Julia Annis

1939-2023

Annis passed away peacefully in the Red Deer Hospital on December 19th, 2023 at the age of 84.

Annis was born June 12th, 1939 in Virden, Manitoba to her parents Robert and Nellie McGuffin.

She married Edmond George Cardon on February 6th,1956 in Virden Manitoba. Together they had 3 children Randy, Gary and Valerie. As a family with a father working in the oil patch they lived in the 3 Canadian western provinces; Manitoba, then Saskatchewan and Alberta. George and Annis finally retired in Sylvan Lake, Alberta with Annis having her own condo.

Annis is survived by her sister Mary (Bob) Rendall, Randy (Kathy) Cardon and Valerie (Kyle) Merrill. She has 4 grandkids and 6 Great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by both her parents Robert and Nellie, husband George and son Gary.

The family would like to extend a thank you to the doctors & nurses in the Red Deer hospital for the exceptional care in Mom’s final days.

As per Annis’s wishes the family is planning to have a small graveside service in Wetaskiwin, Alberta on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Wetaskiwin Memorial Cemetery.
