Brigid (Woods) Gowans

1922-2025

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Brigid Gowans announce her passing on August 7, 2025 at 102 years old in Red Deer, Alberta.

Brigid married James Gowans in 1946, and immigrated to Canada as a war bride. She worked along side James on the farm on Hespero Road. They were blessed with a daughter Maureen and a son Malcom, as well as four grand children Joseph and Matthew Strong and  Jason and Eric Gowans.

James passed away in 2004, and now Brigid has been reunited with him.

A Funeral Service for Brigid will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 15, 2025 at Our Lady of Assumption RC Church in Sylvan Lake, Alberta.
