Brent Allister MacLennan
Peacefully on June 16, 2026, Brent passed away surrounded by family at home.
He was predeceased by his mother Ada MacLennan. Brent will be lovingly remembered by his wife Rose; son Eric (Lindsay), daughter Katie (Enzo); grandchildren Blake & Miller, adopted daughter Elli & adopted granddaughter Rowyn; brother Craig; and Father Allen, cousins, and many friends.
Brent loved spending time gardening, BBQing & using his Traeger and just hanging out on the deck with a cold drink. Brent & Rose just recently learned about firearms and received their licenses, so he also enjoyed going out to the bush with her and target shooting. Brent passed his Hunters Education course and now wanted to learn about hunting. Brent’s most favourite thing to do was go camping and just to get away from it all to their favourite little campground in Wetaskiwin. He enjoyed spending time with the friends he had and his family. He worked for the Canadian military with the Navy for 23 years later retiring in March 2005. After he retired, he went and followed in the footsteps of his uncle and became a truck driver while working on Vancouver Island. Shortly after Brent & Rose moved to Red Deer where he worked for small trucking companies. Then he moved on to do long haul trucking for 15 years and then gave that up to work for a company where he could be home every night, where he has spent the last 7 years.
A Celebration of Life will be held on a later date in Red Deer.
In lieu of flowers Memorial donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity of one’s choice in Brent’s name.
