Bradley “Brad” Nicholas Screpnek

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bradley “Brad” Nicholas Screpnek on February 5, 2025 at the Ponoka Long-Term Care / Centennial Centre. Brad was born on April 28, 1946 in Red Deer AB. Later, Brad’s family moved to Bentley AB where he was raised. In 1975, Brad met Ena and in April of 1981, the two of them were married.
Brad worked for the City of Red Deer, first for a short period with Red Deer Transit then moved over to the Electrical Light and Power department.
Brad was a long-term member of the Moose, where he was awarded the highest degree and enjoyed volunteering for the Red Deer Regional Hospital Foundation, bowling, golfing and many more. Brad was also a big fan of the Red Deer Rebels and enjoyed watching them in person, on the radio or on TV.
Brad will be forever remembered by his loving wife and partner for over 50 years, Ena; stepchildren Anthony, Nancy (Jim) and Rollie (Tari); grandchildren Donna (Gary), Shannon, Lindsay (Logan) and Meagan; great-grandchildren Heather, Caiden and Kinsley and brother Randy (Alexis) as well as numerous other family members and friends.
Brad was predeceased by his parents Nick and Anne Screpnek; his grandparents and step-daughter Vivian Gervais.
A time to celebrate Brad’s life will be held on March 8, 2025, with a drop-in for a coffee or tea, and the sharing of memories between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm at the Moose Hall, 140 – Petrolia Drive, Red Deer County.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
