It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of the most wonderful husband, dad and grandpa. Blake passed away at the Red Deer Hospice after a hard fought battle with liver and kidney disease. He was 71.

His passing is mourned by Debbie, his wife of 52 years, and his daughters, Laurie (Peter Lam) and Erin (Doug Anderson). Blake was so proud of his four grandkids, Alisa and Lukas Anderson and Eric and Chris Lam. Blake is also survived by many extended family members who will miss and remember him.

Blake’s career was in the financial industry. He was most proud of his relationships with his clients and colleagues.

Blake was blessed to be cared for by the most wonderful medical staff, doctors, nurses and technicians over the past 6 years. They were so caring and kind and went above and beyond for him. They became part of our extended family.

At Blake’s request there will be no funeral. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Red Deer Hospice Society, STARS or a charity of your choice.

It is said that everyone dies twice. The first time when they stop breathing and the second when their name is said for the last time. Please help keep Blake’s memory alive.
