Beverly Joan Howell

Beverly Joan Howell was born in Calgary Alberta to Jim and Rosemary Howell. The younger sister to Patricia and Cheryl and older sister to Douglas.
As a girl she enjoyed singing, dancing and performing with church and school choirs but found her passion in rock collecting, polishing and making jewelry and other crafts.
In her teen years she experienced a growth spurt that left her with a severe curvature to her spine. She wore a full body brace through Jr and Senior High years. Her mental, emotional and physical health suffered and she lived her entire life with the handicap.
Similar to many members of her family she caught the travel bug! Her first trip was following high school graduation to the United Kingdom where she met and stayed with her three grandparents families. She was so pleased to have returned in the summer of 2022 and was planning more travels in the future.
Another special trip was her winter spend in SlabCity California where she met likeminded friends from all over the USA. She planned on spending another winter in the warmer climate as Alberta winters were very hard on her!
Beverly was a Calgarian thru and thru! She lived almost her whole life in the city, never missed a Stampede, loved going to performances and events all while being a leader and advocate for handicap accessibility to public facilities!
The list of predecessors is long and it is our hope that Beverly reunites with many of them free from the pain of the physical world and rests in peace!
Her ashes will be buried with her beloved grandparents, parents and sister at Alto- Reste Cemetery in Red Deer in the spring of 2023.
Your kind words and messages are greatly appreciated and please remember Beverly by donating to a handicap charity of your choice.
