It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Betty Anne Pardue on May 17th, 2023. Betty passed at the age of 87 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital. Betty struggled in silence for many years with various health issues. Betty was always cheerful and loved to hear from her family. She was happy to be a central figure in the loves of her children and grandchildren. Anyone that knew her family knew she was a star in their eyes and that was all that mattered to her. She always supplied love and support to her family.
Mom would set her phone alarm to remind her it was time to watch (Coronation Street) or a Blue Jays game. Mom loved her Jays. She knew the stats of most of the players.
Betty raised her five boys while working full time at Woolco. She also worked at the Motor Vehicles Branch in Red Deer. Her last position before retiring was with the (Mountain View Association for the Handicapped) in Olds Alberta.
Betty is survived by her sons Hugh (Loretta), Greg (Anne), Mark (Claudia), and David, her brothers Jack and Jerry and sister Cheryl as well as nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother Rae and sisters Doreen and Helen. She was also predeceased by her son Ted, daughter in law Diane and grandson Ryan.
Betty Boop as she was so loving called by her family and friends passed surrounded by family. This family needs to build a staircase to heaven as she is so dearly missed.
A private family service was held at Lake View Cemetery in Sylvan Lake.
