Betty Ann Blake

We are deeply saddened to announce that Betty Ann Blake (nee Rossetto), age 76, of Red Deer, Alberta, passed away on February 3, 2023, at Red Deer Regional Hospital.
Betty Ann was the only daughter of three children born to Ugo and Mary Rossetto (nee Morello) in Copper Cliff, Ontario on March 9, 1946. She was attending Teacher’s College when she met Dalton Blake. They married in 1971 in Sudbury and had two children, Tiffany and Ryan.
In 1979, Dalton and Betty Ann made the brave choice to move to Uranium City, Saskatchewan to build a better life for their family. In 1982, they settled in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Betty Ann had a deep love for teaching children. Her career in childcare spanned over 20 years, when she proudly retired from the Saskatoon YWCA Child Care Centre.
Betty Ann enjoyed attending live music concerts and performances. Betty Ann and Dalton spent the last few years of retirement in Red Deer, Alberta. She was an avid bowler bowling out of Heritage Lanes, enjoyed Friday afternoon coffee with the ladies, and watching her game shows on television.
Betty Ann was a proud Nonna to her grandchildren. She enjoyed watching and supporting them at their various sporting events, school plays, playing board games, cards and spending time together.
Left to mourn Betty Ann is her husband Dalton, her children Tiffany, Fort McMurray, AB., and Ryan (Jo) Red Deer, AB.: and grandchildren, Mackenzie, Olivia, Kaden, and Kaeleb. Siblings, Danny (Cheryl) and Billy (Linda) and nephews Darin and Mark Rossetto. She is predeceased by her parents, Ugo and Mary, mother-in-law Pauline and sister-in-law Kathy.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Victory Church, 98 Oberlin Ave., Red Deer, Alberta, on February 11, 2023, 2:00 pm. A live stream of the service can be accessed from the Victory Church Events page.
