It is with sadness that we announce the death of Anthony “Tony” Paul Vincent. Tony passed away unexpectedly due to Heart Attack at home, in Red Deer, on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at the age of 63. Born on May 7, 1958, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, he was a son of the late Ernest and Elizabeth (Turner) Vincent. Tony moved to Alberta as a young man and eventually settled in Red Deer. He started working as a brick layer but transitioned into the oil field where he became a successful oilfield consultant. Tony loved to joke and debate and could often be found socializing at his local watering hole. He also loved to ride his Harley, often off on adventures with friends in Alberta. He enjoyed travel and went on a couple of longer motorcycle trips too. Tony was a wonderful father and grandfather who will be missed by family and friends.
He is survived by his daughters, Kyla Wilkerson (Michael) and Tabitha Vincent; brothers, Ernie (Dorothy), Ricky (Joy), and Doug (Joanne); sister, Susan Shortall (Arthur); grandchild, Daniel Wilkerson; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Tony is predeceased by his wife Tammy (2014) and brother Dan (2021). Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to Eventide Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
