Andrew Frank Hutchison

Tragically on November 16th, 2018 Andrew passed away at the age of 33 in Kurdistan, Iraq. Andrew died a hero and doing the job that he loved.
He was a devoted husband to Shanna Hutchison; together they shared an epic and beautiful love. The loving father of Xander (8), Hunter (5) and Lyla & Kendalyn (6 months). Proud parents are Edward & Wendy Hutchison; siblings Matt Hutchison (Jesslyn Strand), Ashley Hutchison (Trevor Holden) and Leah Hutchison. Grandparents Lynn Hutchison (Fred McQueen) and Reverend Frank & the late Shirley Stone. Nephew to Ronald Hutchison (Joanne O’Neil), Peter & Wendy Hutchison, Kim Gurevitch, Barry Hutchison and Crystal & Mike Brown. Cherished uncle of Hailey (16), Torri (12), Carter (8) and Callie (3). Mourned by Shanna’s family David Ninkovich & Gale Mulligan, Barb & Dan Rutledge, Shyla & Ellery Smith and Sarah Ninkovich. He was loved by many cousins, extended family, friends and co-workers.
Andrew had a long-standing career in the oil and gas industry. On his days off he enjoyed quality time with family and friends. He had big dreams of owning his own brewery and often experimented his home beer brews on his family and friends. He was passionate about snowboarding in Revelstoke and dirt biking out west.
Andrew was family orientated, hands on and a very proud father. He travelled the world with his career and developed friendships with people from all over. He touched so many hearts in his short life. Andrew will be fondly remembered for his sense of humour, sarcasm, witty come backs and his contagious smile. He was the life of the party and could light up any room.
He will be deeply missed by many. In the words of the late Andrew Hutchison, “Drive fast, take chances”.
In lieu of flowers, donations for the children can be made at the Bank of Montreal (6130 67th Street Red Deer, AB) in a trust set up under Shanna Hutchison. Funds can also be transferred via e-transfer to ellerysmith@hotmail.com
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 1:00p.m at the Crossroads Church, 38105 Range Road 275, Red Deer.
