Gabriel “Gabe” James Allen of Red Deer, passed away peacefully with family by his side at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Friday, May 12, 2017 at the age of 44 years. Gabe was born in Lynn Lake MB and raised in Fort Saskatchewan and Red Deer AB. He enjoyed collecting cards, comics and various collectable and figurines. Gabe also enjoyed being outdoors, walking the trails while wearing his favourite backpack, and often walking from one side of Red Deer to the other, having put on many miles over the years. Gabe is survived by his loving parents Jim and Darlene; his brother Chris as well as numerous other family members, care workers and friends. A memorial service to celebrate Gabe’s life will be held in the Chapel of the CrossRoads Church, (SW corner of 32 St and highway 2), 38105 Range Road 275, Red Deer County, AB on Friday, May 19, 2017 at 11:00 am. For those wishing to attend, please enter by the north east “Chapel” doors of the church. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Roblin District Cemetery, Roblin MB R0L 1P0, or to The Lending Cupboard Society, 5406 C – 43 St., Red Deer, AB T4N 1C9.
